Riana

Hi! My name is Riana.

I have lived near the centre of Leeds since 2020. I previously lived in Headingley for three years while I studied music at Leeds College of Music. I love Leeds and I know all the short cuts and back alleys around the town centre.

I have played the guitar for more than twenty years and I also write songs and poetry. I love old classics by the Beatles, and music from early 20th Century. I’m a romantic who loves music with a good melody.

These days, I dedicate my time almost exclusively to writing poetry. The poems I write tend to deal with metaphysical, mystical, mysterious, mythical, and magical subjects. Though I occasionally write something with a patriotic angle, such as my poem: If I don’t love England, what have I got?

In truth, I don’t publish many of my poems here, as I’m holding them back for when I become mega-famous, though you can hear me reciting many of them at the various open-mics around Leeds.
